The beach is amoung the best in the world. Top teir dining and drinks. Incredible staff, extremely helpful and friendly. We got engaged on the beach and the staff made it so special for us that we never wanted to leave.

Everything was great except it’s the only five star I’ve ever stayed at in Cancun/Riviera Maya that doesn’t carry Crown Royal. I’ve stated five other resorts in the area and they all carried Crown so I mistakenly assumed a 5 star resort would carry this common, high end whiskey.

Great place to celebrate your special occasion. Concierge Roger was Exceptional! Resort is in a great location for area excursions. The beach there was beautiful and not over crowded. The staff was always friendly and there for you to meet your needs.

What a wonderful vacation at Secrets Maroma! We truly loved the E-team and all the fun activities they offered. They were always very visible and active and happy to be there. We were most impressed that if an activity was full they would offer another class immediately after and make sure everyone that wanted to participate could. E-Team Manager, Alex has assembled a great team. The E-Team was always on hand to give us popcorn and beer or water upon entering the theater for the nightly show—nice touch! We enjoyed Oscar’s enthusiasm all day and especially during his aqua cycle class. Hector planned a fun planting activity for Earth Day. Jenyfer was always encouraging us to do an activity or say hello. Eric was a new addition to the E-team and he always had a smile. The evening entertainment was top notch and utilized so many areas of the resort. Our favorites were the Earth Day show, Elements and the Queen of Hearts show. There was a wonderful full moon concert by the pool, looking out toward the beach. We really enjoyed the silent disco with a light up transformer like guy dancing with us. What really sets Secrets Maroma apart from other properties is the air conditioned lobby bar with great music every evening. A great place to relax, talk, have Mexican coffee, or dance. Cannot forget to talk about the food. We loved every meal we had and went to most of the restaurants during our stay.. Our absolute favorite appetizer was the Pan Seared Mussels at Oceana. We even went back to Oceana another evening to have them again and our waiter Carlos, hustled and seemed to really enjoy his job. Even the head waiter Antonio, was so attentive making sure we and all his guests were satisfied. Our second favorite meal was at Portofino (Italian) and we ate there twice as well. The Fettuccine Alfredo was divine. Shout out to Manual, the Ice cream truck guy…that was a tasty snack in the afternoon! Cannot forget to mention the specialty drink bar that was set up daily near the pool with different drinks each day, eg. gin day, margarita day, etc. I think that is also something that sets Maroma apart from other resorts. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and loved our daily omelets made by Karina..she remembered our orders and truly was an omelet artist. The hostess Margarita greeted us with a friendly smile daily as well. Overall, Secrets Maroma did not disappoint. Great food, great activities day and night and above all a super staff that goes above and beyond. Read less
