Pros: 1) The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Not in seemingly fake way but like they were wanting and willing to help. From check-in to check-out. 2) The spa services (massage/body scrub/foot scrub/facial) were all great. So much so, I went back for a 2nd massage. Highly recommend. 3) They had a better than average liquor selection for an all-inclusive resort, although it seemed as there were definitely limited quantities. For example, they would have a particular brand one day but it would not be available the next day as if there was only one bottle or it may be available at the lobby bar, but not at the pool bar. 4) Because it was a small resort and apparently not their busy season, the pools/beach weren't crowded at all. For the most part the cushions were in good condition, but the some of the umbrellas were in need of repair. (pictured) 5) The swim out pool was nice, but the the stairs to get in were horribly designed. On one side of the hand rail there were 5 steps to get into the pool, but on the other side of the railing, it was just one step and you would immediately fall into the pool, and because of the color of the water/stairs you could not see the stairs or how many there were. Lastly, the water was too deep. I am 5"1 and the water came to my neck. Cons: 1) The resort needs a serious refresh. It appears that Hyatt bought an existing property but has not taken the time to remodel. This alone does not make it worth the cost. 2) The rooms are actually smaller than pictured and they are not as modern as they appear in the pictures on the website. 3) It is time for the bath linens to be replaced. The towels were scratchy and dingy. The same goes for the robes that were also dingy. For the costs, the bath linen should have been a much better quality. 4) Although, I really appreciate that there weren't any buffets, the food was just ok. The breakfast food was good and they had a lot of options on the menu. Dinner was hit or miss. The pool/lunch food was mostly a miss. Not bad, but not great. 5) One of my pet peeves is a failure to attend to the aesthetics. As a guest, I should not have to see/hear the inner-workings. For example, I shouldn't see the mop & bucket when it is not being used and instead just left out throughout the course of the day. I also should not have to hear a jack hammer for 3 hours every day. There was no notice given that the resort would be under some type of noisy maintenance. Although there is a serious need of improvements, having to endure the sound of a jackhammer go on and on when you just want to lounge on your patio/swim out pool while on vacation is nerve-wracking. I would rather Hyatt close the resort, make the necessary repairs, remodel and then reopen. For the price, guests deserve much nicer accommodation and food. Read less

The most relaxing resort hands down. Resort: It's a small intimate resort and very pretty. They keep up with the grounds very well. If you want relaxation, this is the resort for you! Rooms: I was in 307-ocean/pool view. Very pretty room, just like the pictures. A few things needed to be fixed, air had a bit of a hard time keeping up but not uncomfortable. I had a problem with the TV and they immediately came to help me. Service was impressive. Bed was ok, a little hard but the actual room was huge. Bathroom was really nice and the maid Rochelle did a fabulous job. Mini bar was stocked with everything I asked for daily. The turn down service was wonderful but I never did get the aroma therapy spray I picked out when I checked in. Butlers: The Butlers are TOP NOTCH ! Best I've had out of all the resorts I've been to. Patrick & Michael catered to my every need. They brought my champagne for mimosas in the morning. I would tell them where I wanted to be (pool, beach) and they would set up my towels, make sure I had a bucket of water and red stripe, they even delivered lunch to us. I would go back just to have them be my butlers again! Pool/Beach. Pool is a bit windy but very pretty and right next to the bar/restaurant. Beach is nice, they keep it clean. Of course there is sea weed! hello! you're in the Caribbean. There's a dock where you can go in and snorkel. Kayaking & paddle boarding was available. The guys in the hut took my sister out on a Kayak and showed her all around. It was really cool. There are 2 small pools by the spa, one is hot tub and one is pool warmth, nice change to the day at times. Restaurants: There's 3 restaurants. The main restaurant in the middle of the resort did a fabulous breakfast everyday. (French toast is to die for) Sandria was so sweet. They also did themed dinners there too. Food was good, pretty much the same as any resort. 2nd Restaurant is by the pool. They do lunch and sometimes dinner. They have a fun bar tender in there that makes great drinks. Then there's the Jerk Hut. Great food. Tikka was at the grill doing the chicken. Food was so good there. Open for lunch only. Oh and there's a cute little coffee shop by the bar in the lobby. All in all, it is a fabulous resort. Total relaxation! People were laid back, not a bunch of partying. Never have to go early to save a beach chair. You get to know the staff immediately. I would definitely go back. Read less

I decided at the last moment to book this quick getaway to clear my head after recently losing my mother and have been under a great deal of stress and for the most part, I was satisfied with the hotel. The pros for me would be the peace and quiet of the hotel. This is definitely a place to relax your mind and body. The staff is excellent in attending to your needs when asked and I felt very safe. The cons, the beach isn't the best, the lunch and dinner taste like hospital food at best. The break was pretty decent as I LOVED LOVED LOVED the French Toast and fresh fruits. I also have an addiction to Jerky Joe's Jerk Hut. I suggest renting a car if you need to get around because there's some shady practices with the hotel and transportation services where the butler staff pushes using outside transportation services so they can get kickbacks from each job a guest use these companies but they have a shuttle service on site they can use but refuse to do so. I didn't like that practice at all. To drive me 3 mins away to the store was $20, I could've walked on my own instead had I known. I'll research more next time or as I said, just rent a car....it cost less. Read less

Nice property, questionable food quality, service is average, onsite garden is nice, beach is average and overgrown with seaweeds, rooms are in need of updating, coffee bar in room not stocked and I had to continuously request supplied, bath soaps never restocked, I had to use my own, wouldn't restock in room mini bar after I used the initial products, I was told by staff to go down to the bar because I used up my in room products and that was the rule. There were maybe 20 couples in total so all services and food was cut back so it was poor choice by management to cut costs at expense of paying customers. The price should be lower due to offering a lower level experience. Read less
