We stayed at this lovely resort from May 6th to 13th. We did have a great time, but I will not be returning. These are the Pros and Cons from my point of view: Pros - - The resort is great for children. It is compact, so not a lot of walking. My 4 yo son loved the waterpark - The resort is new and nicely up-kept, with many workers on the grounds and beach - The timeframe we were there was not busy, no long lines or wait times - The beach is small, but very nice and clean. A good breeze picks up at about 10am to make it relaxing to lay - The food was ok. Nothing extra special, but lots of variety and room service was prompt Cons- - We paid for a lot extra to have the Rooftop suite w/ Jacuzzi - I would NOT recommend! My husband fought with the Jacuzzi the entire time. No one would fill it for us (we did not have the Privilege upgrade, so no butler. Requested it be filled 5 times, no one came). My husband figured out how to fill it himself, but water was scalding hot with no cold or warm option. We let it sit over night to use the next day. The thing kept draining itself. My husband is very handy and knowledgeable ... the jacuzzi was a piece of junk. - The staff who want you to upgrade to Privilege are very pushy and extremely rude. I simply said no thanks, and walked away. Every time the lady saw me after that, she would call me out and made me feel very uncomfortable. - The alcohol seems watered down. See for yourself. - The beach is small and rocky. We were lucky to find a spot that we did not need water shoes (all the way to the left, near the swing in the water). - This resort has ZERO shade! I love going south but I am sensitive to the sun. The big, beautiful pool had almost no umbrellas. The kids area had 2. May is extremely hot in Jamaica. We had a good time but we will not return to this resort. I hope this helps anyone who is considering it! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Could have been greater if the food and customer service was better

Entering the lobby to my breath away. The resort is beautiful. I believe once the customer service and the quality of the food is improved this will be the resort of choice. I love that it caters to all ages and especially the kids. The entertainment could have been a little bit more Mother's Day friendly.

We stayed here last week of April in an Oceanfront Privilege Suite. I want to give this resort a 5 star rating but they need to make some major improvements at their check-in desk and management of the hotel. If these two areas weren’t an issue, I would have easily given this resort 5 stars. This is a hotel chain based out of Spain. So it’s not all that great when you need to get in touch with them and you’re from the US. Unlike most other resorts, it’s impossible to call them to address an issue over the phone because Alyse they just keep giving you the run around and transferring you from one person to another. The toll free number is for reservations only and they’re useless. We had an issue and had to call Jamaica directly multiple times and even then we were getting transferred back and forth constantly. We spent about $70 in long distance phone calls after booking here. They also don’t bother responding to emails. This place really needs to get their act together and offer a toll free way of contacting them if there is an issue or concern, especially for US clients. We arrived at the hotel around 2pm. Approximate travel time from the airport to hotel is 40 minutes. We booked an Oceanfront Privilege Suite (2 adults 2 kids). Check in time is 3pm. We checked in at the Privilege Desk and were told the room is ready and then told it wasn’t ready and that someone would text/call us to let us know when it was ready. Around 6pm, we walked back to the lobby and inquire as to what’s going on. They told us our room has been ready since we got to the hotel at 2pm but no one bothered telling us that. We could have been in our room four hours earlier. We were given a corner oceanfront room in Building 1 with a large balcony. The room was on the west side of the building (away from the pool). The views from here were terrible. The room overlooked an undeveloped piece of land that looked like a homeless camp with tents and blue tarps all over the place. If you get a room near the pool, you’d avoid looking at this. If you totally want to avoid this, Building 2 is the safer option as it’s on the other side. I went down to speak with the manager about the view and the management staff is not very helpful. She told us they had no more oceanfront rooms available to switch us but could give us a one of the “cheaper” rooms for the night. We asked if we’d be compensated for the difference in price between the two rooms or a comped night stay and they refused. They wanted to give us a room that was costing almost $300/night less but still wanted to charge us the full amount. We’ve stayed in many all-inclusive resorts and this was the first time we’ve encountered this type of service from management or front desk. It really seemed like they didn’t care. Usually when you pay for the second most expensive room on property, you’d think they be willing to work with you a little bit, but nope, not here. We were able to switch rooms the next day into Building 2 and no longer had to look into the homeless camp. I personally don’t think it’s worth upgrading to Privilege. You don’t have access to the restaurants in Eden Bay (adult side) without an up-charge. The butler service they advertise is not what you think it is. The top shelf drinks are only available in the Privilege Lounge. The special designated pool with cabanas gets taken very early. There are only FOUR cabanas that always seemed to be “reserved” no matter how early you get there in the morning. People just leave their stuff on it and don’t come back for hours. Same with the chairs closest to the pool. We walked down as early as 7:15am and all the cabanas were taken and most of the front chairs as well. So save yourself the extra upgrade costs cause you’re not getting your monies worth. If this resort can fix the above issues I listed, it’d be a great place and worth 5 stars. Notwithstanding the issues listed above, our family really enjoyed this resort once we settled in and not have to deal with front desk or management. The beach, pool areas, lazy river, kids park were all very good. The food was good overall. Plenty of options between restaurants and buffets. The restaurants require reservations for dinner. You need to make them as early as you can cause they seem to fill up fast. The jerk chicken hut was awesome. Just be ready to wait in a very long line depending on when you get there, but the wait is worth it. We had the jerk chicken daily. Like many other resorts in Jamaica, this resort offers an extensive menu of halal meat options. Beef, goat, lamb, chicken are either halal or can be specifically requested halal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks during the day. Just speak with the front desk when checking in and also ask to speak with the chef. They can arrange whatever you need. Specifically ask for Joshi or Bri. Some of the employees at this resort were absolutely amazing. Some went above and beyond when we would talk to them about something or needed something. A special thank you to the following people at this resort: Joshi (chef), Bri (food and beverage concierge), Shana Kay (specialty chef), George (chef), Emanuel (chef), and Shantae (privilege pool area). These people more than made up for what the front office is lacking at this resort. Overall this is a great resort. Hopefully they’ll read this and can fix their front office issues and work on customer service. First impressions leave a lasting impression, good and bad. If you’re in the US and don’t want to spend $50-100 on phone calls, use the following WhatsApp numbers to communicate with the resort directly: Concierge Desk: 876-579-4876 Front Desk Manager: 876-482-5951 (Kaydiann) Read less

Beautiful hotel. We were allocated a lovely room in block one (1526) and it was near to everything. The room was vary spacious and the added bonus was the large balcony to sit out on and enjoy. The room could have done with the wardrobe doors oiling and the fridge unit door repositioned, plus a hook behind the bathroom door. Nicely cleaned by a wonderful lady(sorry didn't get her name) who was very pleasant and made us feel at home. Upon arrival we were the only three guest and yes, we had to wait to be checked in. Couldn't see the reason as to why all three had to sign the Hotel's declaration form. During the check-in process the thirst was getting to us and we had to ask "doesn't this hotel give guest a welcome drink?". Reception staff need to show a more welcoming attitude to their guests. Any way the bell boy more than made up for this with his warm welcome and greetings . Another poor attitude we faced was from the lady serving in the jerk hut. Yes it is hot, but a smile goes a long way. Take a leaf out of the men. They were jolly and smiling. Management please give them a fan. At the Jamaica restaurant, after waiting all week to sample the Jamaican delights we were told it was a forty five minutes wait and the desk clerk walked off. Finally we got in having waited the forty-five minutes and speaking to a different member of staff. Was it worth the wait? NO! NO! NO! The service was abominable.Glasses of water was served to us after a fifteen minute wait following being ignored by the waiter who had seen us sit down. As the waiter poured our glasses of water, he then took our drinks and food order. After a total of forty five minutes from having being seated, we had to ask for our starters and our drinks. To top it off the meal was poor and only two out of three drinks ordered arrived after the meal. Overall this hotel could do much better job to gain five stars. Read less
