Well, what can I say, what an amazing experience we had at the Club. Caroline and her team do an amazing job of keeping us happy. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were there to help. I'm shocking with names, but massive thanks to Caroline, Kareene, Sophia, Vinny, Guye, and the two ladies on the Omelette and Grill station, sorry, was there 2 weeks and never asked their names. We were there for 2 weeks, and cant wait to go back. Its a lovely, chilled relaxing holiday, with birds, crabs and the occasional green monkey walking through the premesis. Saw lizards, butterflys and humming birds The hotel has a relaxed vibe, and was just what we needed. It is located right on the sea front, and within 10 mins walk of Holetown, so fantastic location. We did most of our travelling via the Reggae busses, and the government blue buses, which are air conditioned. Stay away from the white ZR buses. We visited pebble beach for the horses, Harrisons cave, Cove Bay, Little Bay, Bathsheba, Bridgetown and Oistins twice. Hired a car from Reception, which was easy and cheap. Reception organised us a catamaran tour, which was brilliant. I've read some dodgy reviews on here, and I can honestly say, we never had a bad experience, just full of smiles and laughter from the staff. The food was amazing, and they catered for everyone's taste, I joked with them that Ive put on over a stone, so it cant be that bad. Had a real selection of stuff too, had Marlin, King fish, Tuna, Sword Fish, Burgers, Rib, Oxtail, Smoked Salmon, Soups, Salad (Not too much), Baked Chicken. Some days are buffet and some days ala carte. Sandy Lane beach is on the doorstep, and holetown beach is a few minutes walk, did lots of snorkelling. The drinks are premium, Ive had my share of Hennessy cognac, especially from Vinny, who could knock you out with his measures. The staff work so hard, especially the bar and restaurant staff. The Sunset restaurant is nicely laid out, and we were greeted and seated within minutes. We also enjoyed Enid's restaurant, which has aircon. It really is a peaceful paradise of a place The room was good, cleaned every day, swept and mopped. Room had aircon, a king size bed, and a great shower. On our leaving day, they organised a hospitality room to get a shower which was appreciated. There are board games, books, aqua aerobics, relaxed evening entertainment, and we did make it to the piano bar, which was a nice touch. I've seen some piccy reviews about décor, but that was irrelevant to us, the place is clean and tidy, smart Tv in the room etc. The place attracts all sorts of ages, mainly over 50s, but I did see some young couples too. Having 5 children and 3 grandchildren, it was a touch of heaven to be adults only, and not having any idiots dive bombing the pool. If you want nightlife, then Holetown's First street is 10 mins walk away, or you could get the bus to St Lawrence Gap, approx 30 mins. The Club is great value for money too. We got 5 star service in what I would say is a good 4 star accommodation. If you want more than this, it will cost you £5K+ extra to go to Sandals. The Club is in a better location too on the West Coast, and we saw some fantastic sunsets. Has some great cocktails too, Monkey Business, Citrus Cooler, Rum Cooler, Passionfruit Daiquiri etc. Ive calculated going self catering versus all inclusive. Its quite expensive to eat out, I'd say that the all inclusive option is the cheapest. We had a bit of a snack out at Calma Beach club, just because we were out snorkelling, its was above £50 for 4 beers, fries and a macaroni pie There are some high end restaurants nearby - The Tides, Paul Owens, The Cliff, Lonestar. You'll be paying £300 ish for a couple, we didn't bother as we were impressed by the food at the Club. We will definitely be coming back here, its just a case of when. Met some fantastic people, and enjoyed 2 weeks of paradise. Once again, Caroline, you should be extremely proud of your team, a job truly well done, Thankyou "Ya Mon" :-) Read less

Expectations that is what The Club Barbados is all about. We have visited the Club many times since our first visit to Barbados in 1992. We always stay at this location on the west coast near Holetown. It has been three different resort names since then. First The Pineapple Beach Club, then The Almond Beach Club and now The Club Barbados. Each iteration had its highs and lows but what brings us back year after year is the staff and location. It is a great place to explore Barbados, by foot, by reggae bus, organized tour or taxi and that is what you should do, get out and see the beauty that is Barbados. The Club is by no means 5 star but it works for us in its ‘ Shabby Chic’ way. 95% of the staff are amazing, they make us feel like we are at our home away from home, the other 5% may just need a smile from from us to get them in the mood to be happy. We normally book a garden view room and it works for us. If we want to see the sea we got to the front and get a lounger or walk north or south ( when the tide allows ) to enjoy some of the best beaches. The Sunset Restaurant and Enid’s Restaurant are both good but sometimes they have their off days. You may also order from the menu at the beach bar from noon until five pm but the last order should be in by 4:45 or you might be out of luck🤔. The stars of the Club and this is not the complete list but we love the way we are welcomed and this is in no particular order. Pearson, Dakari, Sophie, Vinnie, Guye, Caroline, Michael, Kareen, Dannie, Owen, Kennisha and that is all of the names my old brain remembers. There are other All Inclusive resorts in Barbados but this one is our fit. I guess after visiting Barbados 36 times over 32 years to visit our Barbados Family in our home away home and meet new friends along the way that says it all 🇨🇦✈️🇧🇧 Read less

A return trip for a group of 8 friends celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries - never disappointed, especially after our first trip was during covid and quieter times. Clean, functional rooms - boutique feel and if you’re not overly stressed about beds not being made by 9am this is the place for you! Some friends had suites, we all had garden rooms with balconies - spacious rooms, comfy beds, good showers.🚿 - if you have mobility issues ensure you ask for ground floor rooms. Pools clean and well maintained, with pool drinks service - plastic glasses essential for pool side use meant that a drink floating on your back was delightful! Variable sea conditions this time made snorkelling tricky to start due to the moving sand but settled at the end of our stay - water sports staff were courteous and explained why some options weren’t available due to the windy conditions but were more than happy to oblige when the weather settled! Staff in both restaurants were delightful - kind and courteous with you - we all had our favourites ! The drink was plentiful but if they ran out there was always an alternative. Bajan style food plentiful for the adventurous and also conservative tastes catered for - breakfast always a highlight, Mother’s Day buffet lunch was a triumph with staff working very hard for their residents and walk-in guests. We would happily return - nowhere is perfect but any little glitches are easily overlooked if you’re open minded. We would all happily return in a heartbeat! Barbados is t a cheap island to eat out well at but there was no need to travel far as all our whims were catered for within the complex - ignore the haters and give it a try! Read less

My friend and I stayed for a week. The food was good and most of the staff were friendly. The resort is small and mostly an older crowd. Our only disappointment was the BEACH, if the tide is out you can go down the stairs and walk to the beach next door. So, if you are a beach lover, pick another resort.
