Ubuntu of Burman University thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We travelled to the Bahamas for our Spring Choir Tour with 39 members. We were made to feel very welcome during our stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and approachable. We enjoyed a hassle-free stay and would definitely return. A part of Comfort Suites' allure is their location on paradise island, complimentary breakfast and access to Atlantis amenities. While the breakfast could benefit from a little more variety, we were appreciative of the fact that they made accommodations for our dietary preferences. Overall, we had a great stay and would certainly recommend it. Read less

The room and grounds were clean and the proximity to Atlantis makes it a win win coupled with the free breakfast. I had friends who were staying at another hotel and ended up transfer over to the Comfort Suites for their last night in the Bahamas. And how can I forget the comfortable bed! If I ever have to stay on Paradise Island again, I am coming back here. Kudos to those who work there, you made me feel right at home! Read less

Horrible experience - I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! To begin we checked into the hotel with 4 families and a total of 19 people - it took over 2 hours to check us in and get our luggage secured - in the process of waiting to get checked in one of the children from another family we were with accidentally pushed one of the hotel’s luggage carts into the wall and put a small hole in the wall. I was confronted later on that night by the security and night manager that I was going to be responsible for the damage done to the wall. I informed the staff that my child had not done the damage and I wasn’t going to pay for any damage done. Fast forward to the morning of checkout… the front desk informed me that i was going to have to pay $350 for the damage and again I informed staff that it wasn’t my child who damaged the wall. I left all my belongings with all of our passports and went to get breakfast with the other families. My wife headed to a local Starbucks while I went to the room and retrieved our luggage to head to the airport. The staff then approached me just before I left and informed me that either I deal with the damages here at the hotel or deal with the police at the airport. Not wanting to have my family potentially deal with having me arrested or deal with this i had no choice but to pay for this. It wasn’t until I got to the airport and attempted to get through security that I realized that my passport was missing and after a frantic search I reluctantly called the hotel and guess what…. They had miraculously found my passport in my room in about 45 seconds of being on hold. I had to race back from the airport to the hotel and hopefully get back in time to catch my flight. I made it back just before boarding. Also just a heads up, I later learned when I returned home from the choice hotels corporate office that because this comfort suites is independently owned and operated their billing system is different from that in the United States, they had no way of issuing me a refund. Now onto the room The air conditioning was unable to cool the room at night - the Wi-Fi was spotty and not working at times - the lampshades had red rust on them and the walls were dirty - the bathroom was dingy and the fan made a whizzing sound - the overhead fan didn’t work - the TV remote went missing after the maids cleaned the room after day 2 and was never replaced. The breakfast was the same everyday with the exception of swapping out bacon with sausage. The breakfast area is overrun with birds attacking your food. Is it a cheaper option than staying at the Atlantis - yes - but beware you are getting what you pay for!! Read less

Stayed one week at this budget friendly hotel. It was far better than most Comfort Suites in the states. Paradise Island is extremely expensive and this was a great way to experience all that Atlantis has to offer without the crazy Atlantis prices. The hotel grounds were very nice. The pool area is beautiful and well kept. Bartenders were attentive, interactive, and the swim up bar was fun. Great music playing in the afternoon/evening which made for a fun pool party and bar experience. Breakfast music was calm and relaxing. Breakfast itself was at the actual hotel restaurant. Buffet style served on normal plates with silverware, not the paper plates and plastic forks that most Comfort Suites use for their continental breakfasts. Scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, pancakes or waffles daily. Repetitive but it's really up to the consumer to switch up what they take each day. My family thought it was great. It was beautiful to have breakfast outside each morning. Just watch out for those birds, they can tear up a plate of food lightening fast. Check in was slow (island time) but understandable because they had to print special cards to use at Atlantis. Always a worker in the lobby offering to help with luggage or call a cab that arrives in just a minute or two. Room wasn't great. It was dated, a bit dingy, dark, and it had a strange smell. Water had a sulfer smell and the faucet decided the temp you'll be showering in. But the bed was extremely comfy, there was great air conditioning and even a ceiling fan above the bed, and we had an amazing patio with a garden. No noise heard above us so we had really peaceful nights sleep. Housekeeping came every day and they were all so kind. Marina village was right across the street. The walk to Atlantis for wristbands was only five minutes. It's on the way to Aquaventure so you have to pass by the desk daily anyway. The longest we waited in line was 10 minutes one day, other days it was faster. Atlantis staff treats you just like one of their own hotel guests. We never felt cheap or frowned upon for using their properly while staying at CS. We could even get towels each day. Overall it was a great experience and we'll definitely return to Comfort Suites Paradise Island. Read less

The location is perfect and it is easy to get transportation from. The staff was also friendly. When planning, the team (specifically Yasmine Strachan) was very helpful and flexible. She was professional, and punctual with responses and deadlines. She communicated well and was knowledgeable. I've stayed here myself both as a tourist and now a local a few times and I will definitely be returning. Read less
