The bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows. Food was very good and the staff was friendly, especially Sonia and Suzzette at the bar. Sonia was the best. DDue to our age we found the stairs to navigate. There were 50 stairs to reach the upper pool from the second floor then five more stairs down to the main pool.

This was a mother / daughter trip. 3 couples. We were so excited to go to the pineapple beach club. Did our research, seen a few not so good reviews but thought everyone has an opinion … well here is mine. Nice check in. The room was in the 400 area where the quiet pool is.. as soon as I walked in I thought this is small, dark, and in much need of a Reno. Yuck. 3 nights in a row cockroaches in our washroom which would scurry down the side of the wall into the floor..Water ,omg they say you can drink the tap water,it stinks. They have containers of ice water at the bar areas you can fill up your mug/cup. Go to the bar to get a glass of water. Come on,do a little better than that! The buffet and restaurants were ok,no big selection or anything that was great!! The bar, I have been to a few resorts and love sitting at the bar. They will not fill up your insulated mug at the bars!!!!!!!! I would get it in a plastic glass then have to pour it in my mug ! I would ask for 2 drinks and have to pour in my mug! ! Why????? I would suggest whoever manages the pineapple beach resort to take a look at this ridiculous rule….motivate your crew!!!! You do not have to be a rocket scientist to see how unhappy they are!!! Twice we seen 1 lady taking drink orders by the pool. Not enough staff. Not a nice vibe here. No air conditioned spot to relax and have a beverage unless you went to your room… The entertainment was good but LOUD!!! Where it was uncomfortable to sit and watch. The beach was small but nice.we got this trip at a discount but still paid to much. The 25 USD per night money grab you pay upon checking out by the resort should take care of a few issues!!!! Like staffing and training. Here is a huge shout out to the beautiful souls that work the coffee shop!!! You made getting a coffee every morning wonderful.Thank you. All boils down to poor management.. be kind and respectful to your employees, your return will amaze you and the people that visit your resort. Folks that enjoy this spot , try Jamaica where the people are friendly and you get bottled water even though you can drink from the tap!!!!!! Management we won’t be returning. If I had paid full price to be here I would have been rotted. …. Read less

Wonderful vacation, staff was excellent. The beach was amazing. Variety of food choices. Everyone should be able to find something they like to do. Feeding the beautiful fish was great. Only negative is we wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back for the sun and fun.

My wife and I choose this 4 star hotel in Antigua for the looks , the drone shots and beach location and we paid a great deal of money to stay here Sadly it doesn’t meet a 4 star hotel’s standards more like 2 star The Buffet breakfast in the main Topaz restaurant was basic / bland breakfast food and not kept at all hot , by the time you got back to your seat the food was luke warm / cold Also the breakfast food was mainly all exposed to flys and birds all the time , it has some overs the food but open at one end The fruit is open and exposed to flys etc No bananas or marmalade at breakfast There’s two toasters , one works but very slow, seem to take 10 minutes to toast your bread . The 2nd toaster works but does not rotate the bread ( broken) and people where putting there hands in to the heated elements to retrieve there bread !!! There does not seem enough staff in the Topaz Restaurant as there can be up to 350 guests in the hotel , there’s a long wait for service if any sometimes Tachos on Tuesday night , pancakes where cold and the meat filling was tepid We also ate in the Outback had an appointment for an 830 pm slot , very little salad left , basic stuff , no punch and the buffet meat looked cremated, so not a lot was had by us Main Sly mongoose bar there’s no cocktail list at all , my wife ask for a Mojito ,answer was we don’t do that ! Theres a fast food counter called the Pelican which serves unhealthy foods There are no drainage pipes ( 4) connected to the guttering on our block, all corroded and snapped off , so the water when raining was just gushing down the walls , idea for an outdoor shower 🤪!! I saw one maintenance guy the whole time on my stay ( 5 days ) The Hotel is very tired and neglected After 2 days my wife and I called a meeting with one of the duty managers ( Cheriane ) and one of the chefs and discussed the above points which they seemed to listen, we where told they would get back to us before our departure but nothing , the faulty toaster is still in place . Our resort representative finally spoke to them ( Pineapple) as we where just about to depart they credited us for one of our excursions Some of the staff , not all seem unhappy in there jobs We spoke to other guests and quite a few where of the same opinion, one couple was offered a 5 day free stay , the reply was not bloody likely Positives Nice beach and all day sunshine Read less

Waited a long time to visit this resort so feel disappointed with some things here , this resort is more of a 3 star and if I was to revisit Antigua I’d pay that extra to get more for my money , the actual property is lovely not to big so quite easy to get from A to B . The beach and the ocean view is amazing , the sun-beds could do with replacing some of them are quite bad and there’s not enough umbrellas the towel availability is dreadful lucky if you get one let alone trade it in for a clean one at the end of the day we spent most of our time at the infinity pool big shout out to the aqua bar and the young man that would bring us rum punches etc and collected the glasses , our room was ok we had a unspecified pool view room we were just down from the pool so our view was of other rooms opposite but no problem and very much central to everything which I did ask for , the pineapple grill was very nice as was the Italian restaurant the snack bar was good with burgers wraps nachos etc my favourite was the outhouse the food was incredible the atmosphere was great the views are stunning plus the staff were very nice my main disappointment is with the topaz buffet restaurant the food was not good such a miss mash of different foods salad bar wasn’t the best , and this also goes for the staff some of them are so miserable they make you feel like your asking for the world just to get water or a wine/beer I’ve worked on customer service all my life and there is definitely some retraining that needs to happen here , couldn’t get a tea or coffee other than in the morning at any of the restaurants they have a coffee shop where you go for your hot drinks which also has some sandwiches and cakes to be fare it was very nice , the resort fees for here are $24 a night per room and $5 per person per night they also added a $20 donation to there charity which I told them to take off so just check your bills , dint receive a thank you for staying with us etc which was disappointing but expected wouldn’t come here again there’s far better on the island Read less
